WhisperLite – dictation from your menu bar. Press Fn + ⇧, speak, press again. The recognised text is cleaned up and inserted where your cursor is. A small HUD shows what is happening.
Stays on your Mac. Recording and transcription run entirely locally. Optionally you can hand the clean-up to a cloud model; that is off by default, needs your own API key and sends only the recognised text to the provider you chose. WhisperLite itself collects nothing.
Requirements: macOS 26 or later, Apple Silicon. Microphone and Accessibility permissions are requested on first launch.
